Those are the Light Infantry and hussars, Margard.
I have seeen a few plates that showed them looking like British Legion, with Tarleton helmet and short coat.
That must have been a popular look. Even Lee's Legion had the same, and they were on the other side!

Sorry, didn't realise you specifically wanted the dragoons. Try here:

The dragoon is behind and to the right of the hussar.

I didn't know there was a dragoon troop in the QRs

Oh, yes.
The Queen's Rangers were an amalgamation of several company size unrelated Loyalist units. That is why you get riflemen, grenadiers, Highlanders, light infantry, a mess kit repair platoon, hussars and dragoons. I think they even had artillery, to complete the Legion concept.

Old Glory makes specific minis for their infantry (line, highland, and grenadiers). Perry has Hussars. I used British legion for the gragoons. The blue cuffs are from after the war. They had green until late in the war, then it was black.

Supercilius Maximus01 Sep 2011 4:09 a.m. PST

By 1780, the QRs had absorbed a number of smaller Loyalist units – usually the better quality ones – and had a normal line infantry battalion with flank companies (the original unit raised by Robert Rogers), a highland company which was in effect a second light company, a 12-16 strong rifle section*, two small guns (3-pdr and an amusette), and a cavalry arm comprising the original hussar troop and three troops of light dragoons, raised in 1779-80. One of these served beside the hussar troop in the South, and its CO – Captain Saunders – was the senior cavalry officer (the rifle section was mounted and also served under him).

[* Note: the QR centre companies were NEVER rifle armed; this is a mistake by Lefferts, who confused the AWI unit with a 1790s Canadian regiment – this is also where the mistake with the dark blue facings comes from.]

A clothing return from very late in the war suggests that the QR light dragoons had a similar uniform to that of the British Legion light dragoons – Tarleton helmet, green single-breasted jacket with black collar/cuffs, and leather breeches. Whilst there is no primary evidence as to what the three troops wore when they were raised, it is likely that any facings were green, as this was the norm for the other QR components.

All the King's Men is having these very troops sculpted now to add to our AWI line in 54mm. The cavalry arm is already available from us. Being added are line foot, grenadiers, lights and highlanders.
