I love the orange faceplate. How did you achieve that effect? |

Very cool. A good, no-nonsense future infantryman. No silly skulls or pointless details. Great paint job too. |

Great figure, great paintjob, but almost $5.00 USD per figure! |

Totally agree w/ Space Aardvark. Excellent sculpt w/ a great paint job. Love the weapon choice. |

i didnot think 5.00 per figure is out of line for quality 28mm
.try buying infinity or GW finecast |

Nice figures and very nice paint job.. As for the price, at least even with the high detail of empress you get four figures for £6.. £5.00 GBP a figure is just too high in my opinion. I know the scultping etc takes time i know the metal costs are ballistic.. but at that price, its out of my budget range. So i won't be buying. From the comments on the heresy forum, if memory serve about going out of business unless sales pick up, I suspect sadly many other gamers are finding the same thing. The price rises in figures are putting many out of sencible reach. I don't know what the answer is mind. Even GW are being hit by a big slump in sales.. their prices are now out stripping the desposable income levels of teenagers and their parents. But back to the figure.. yes, looks very halo esq. I hope someone does some halo minis in 28mm at some point. i suspect they would be popular. The vehicle looks grand too. Thanks for posting. |

The pity is that $5.00 USD per figure means you are unlikely to get an army together versus the "better" deals of picking up someone's older army off Ebay. The APC's cost is no better. Shrug. Maybe they will show up on Ebay some day. The cost of the APC and the miniature just mean I'll say "hey neat" then move on to something else. So I have to agree, the disposable income just isn't there anymore or in the foreseeable future. |

A very nice looking figure, and vehicle, but at $5.00 USD per for the former, it's way out of my price range. |

Painting like that make me miss the bigger figures. I can understand the price but figures for me are still too large. Excellent paint scheme – well done. Andrew Main site: blog.kings-sleep.me.uk |

Keep an eye on Heresy – he does specials on a semi-regular basis. I picked up a bunch of them awhile back at around $3 USD each. Not quite Old Glory cheap, but cheap enough to grab enough to put together several units. |

5 USD, okay. 5 GBP, too much. Just IMHO, everybody has to draw the line somewhere. I will pay 6 USD for a nice 28mm figure (and 3 for a cr@ppy one), but not 7-8 USD. It may be a fair price, but I just can't justify the expense. Anyway, great miniature. |

link That's the link to the shop for those interested. Does anyone know whether the arms are seperate at the shoulder or how they work? Andy? Are you lurking? I'm not keen on the weapon but have a lot of "alternate" weapon arm assemblies that might fit. |
ScoutII | 04 Aug 2011 1:51 p.m. PST |
Well, they are not 5 GBP
or even 5 dollars each. A 4 pack for 10 quid. Current conversion rate (1 GBP = 1.62631 USD) puts that at $4.07 USD each. All things considered not far off from the majority of manufacturers (and much less than a lot of boutique manufacturers). link – For the miniatures xe.com – For the exchange rates Does anyone know whether the arms are seperate at the shoulder or how they work? Shoulder IIRC. I don't have them in front of me though, so I can not be 100% certain. I did do a few swaps on mine and they were not difficult to work with. |

Don;t forget to add in the shipping cost. Even at $4.07+, they are out of my range for anything like a unit. |
dwartist | 04 Aug 2011 3:49 p.m. PST |
right arms are seperate with left hand attached to the rifle grip. All paints Vallejo – Visor is black undercoat; orange/brown base highlighted over several incrementally lighter mixes with yellow ochre until virtually orange tinted yellow ochre. highlighting is at the centre of the visor concentrating on where the eyes and nose would be. Sepia wash is added to the edges and the lower half then dk. umber wash is added to the edges. Finally the whole visor is given several, diluted coats of clear orange. |

Very sweet mini and paint job. Fantastic digital camo and I love the visor. Well done! |
