Running up on 11 years here. Been a paid member for a decent few of them. Just renewed my membership today, for a year.

After finally having actually read through the latest brouhaha, though?

I'm finding myself genuinely questioning whether I would have re-upped, if I'd read it all earlier.

I grew up when I joined the Army at 17. Growing up has to do with paying bill's and being accountable not if I play with little metal men. Now, I am off to the fridge for a beer.

This has nothing to do with playing with miniatures- it's assumed everyone here, myself included, has at least an interest in that.

For what its worth, I consider myself all growed up now, and when on another forum somebody complained because I made a poor joke about the German prediliction for sausage; (Yes seriously, proper 'offended' they were!); I just checked that it was really happening as opposed to a tease, then apologised and moved on. Life's too short to hang around with losers like that…

Yes much to my surprise! But be careful – they'll be mutterings and threats about racism….

(Actually its not that funny. Racism is a horrible thing, but using it as an excuse for lazy insults by the hard of thinking cheapens its shock value for when somebody is actually racist – i.e. is predjudiced against someone by virtue of their race or colour. Its a shame one even has to define it these days, so prevalent is its lazy thoughtless use as a general term of abuse…)

Well the good Cardinal is a man of the cloth, and I'm a Pommie so presumably more interested in slurping tea and yaffling cucumber sandwiches than fisticuffs…Anyway I have several KG and many inches over the Cardinal so it would hardly be fair – and Aussies and Poms share a high regard for fairness, if nothing else…
