Pretty straightforward question, with absolutely no gaming implications:

1) Front Pocket
2) Rear Pocket
3) Belt Holster/Holder
4) Pocketbook/Purse
5) Backpack/Napsack/Briefcase
6) Car
7) Hip/Fanny pack
8) Hands (always texting, talking, etc)
9) Don't carry a cell phone
10) Don't own a cell phone

Dynaman878928 Jul 2011 9:30 a.m. PST

It was 3, till it fell apart, now it's 1 (annoying too, I have 2 cell phones and one of them is always going into a picture taking mode, I've got about 1 million pictures of my pocket.)

John the OFM28 Jul 2011 9:39 a.m. PST

Holsters fall off my belt. I nearly lost my cell that way.

I hate putting crap in my pockets, so it, along with my wallet, is usually in my left hand. Or I leave it in the vehicle. If on the bike it rides in a chest pocket on my leather jacket. I don't text and rarely talk on it so having it my hand has nothing to do with that.

When driving I like to put it on vibrate and hold it between my legs in case I get a call. It feels nice….

What? You all don't do that?

For general walking around, shirt pocket. While exercising, the sport-band and anything else the counter, car, whatever.

chaos0xomega28 Jul 2011 10:07 a.m. PST

Front left pocket.

Waco Joe28 Jul 2011 10:16 a.m. PST

Shirt pocket. If I am wearing something that does not have a shirt pocket I usually don't wont the damn thing with me.

Not a cell phone junkie.

PapaSync28 Jul 2011 10:18 a.m. PST

1 and sometimes 7. . .

Andrew May128 Jul 2011 10:24 a.m. PST

Well, today I've left it on my desk at work…

Grizzlymc28 Jul 2011 10:37 a.m. PST

Ace – best place for it – someone wants me, they can call whenI am at my desk.

It would be really annoying to try and fit it in my pants pocket. Plus this way, it is just like being back in the Old West.

Morning Scout28 Jul 2011 11:00 a.m. PST

This is the reason why they should get rid of polls

pphalen28 Jul 2011 11:11 a.m. PST

Sorry to have "compelled" you to waste precious minutes of your day to have to take the time to read and comment on my suggestion…

pphalen28 Jul 2011 11:12 a.m. PST

He said "fanny pack." Hee hee.

I even did it on purpose!

Space Monkey28 Jul 2011 11:18 a.m. PST

I don't like having a lot of stuff in my pockets so usually in my hand (not texting).

Historicalgamer28 Jul 2011 11:21 a.m. PST

1, 3 and breast shirt pocket

SECURITY MINISTER CRITTER28 Jul 2011 11:27 a.m. PST

kyote, my sister pulled hers out of her bra once for me to use. I declined and walked back to my car to get mine.

Roderick Robertson Fezian28 Jul 2011 11:28 a.m. PST

Zyphyr28 Jul 2011 11:44 a.m. PST

Side pocket, just above my left knee.

The Monstrous Jake28 Jul 2011 11:52 a.m. PST

In a drawer in a closet. There's still no cell phone service within about three miles of my house, although it's getting closer.

We're not supposed to have cell phones on the floor at work (factory). If I'm not home and I'm not at work, I don't want to be reachable.

The G Dog Fezian28 Jul 2011 12:01 p.m. PST

#1 when I'm on the go.

Its on my desk at the moment. Stays there most of the day.

pphalen28 Jul 2011 12:07 p.m. PST

Right now, 5. Sometimes, 1.

3 pretty much always – it is an iPhone, so the screen cracks if you look at it hard – I keep in a holster with enough padding that it almost as durable as my old Blackberry (which was a tank)

Chris Rance28 Jul 2011 12:46 p.m. PST

Front right pocket. My keys are in the front left, where all the others who have expressed a preference seem to keep theirs.

E Murray28 Jul 2011 12:53 p.m. PST

Actually, it's not that straightforward a question, not without an "it depends" option, anyway.

#5, in a briefcase (and turned off) when at home, at work, or going to work.

#6, in the car, when driving home from the park-and-ride during the week, and while driving on weekends.

#1, left front pants pocket, while on the bus to the park-and-ride after work, and while out of my car running errands.

#11 (I made that up), seat bag, while on my bicycle. Turned off unless I'm expecting a call. Nothing ticks me off like having a ride interrupted only to discover that Ernesto has another "important business message".

Clearly an audience that doesn't follow football.

TodCreasey28 Jul 2011 1:05 p.m. PST

When dressed casually I go for cargo pants with a leg pocket for the phone. Otherwise in jacket or on my desk

The Beast Rampant28 Jul 2011 1:19 p.m. PST

Front pocket (for some dumb reason, I put my keys and/or phone in either pocket), unless I am wearing a jacket.

Mooseworks828 Jul 2011 1:36 p.m. PST

Cargo pocket in my khaki shorts or phone case with my pants.

religon28 Jul 2011 1:43 p.m. PST

Mine is lost.

…No longer. I just saw odiaboloiro's link.

Grand Duke Natokina28 Jul 2011 1:46 p.m. PST

Usually, I leave it at home. If I carry it it goes in the right shirt pocket.

Grizzlymc28 Jul 2011 1:55 p.m. PST

God!

I would love to answer that phone – do you think she has it on vibrate?

religon28 Jul 2011 2:21 p.m. PST

@Grizzlymc

Bloody silly machines.

All the best,

John.

E Murray28 Jul 2011 2:40 p.m. PST

Rats, I forgot about jackets. So, when I'm wearing a jacket, the 'phone goes in one of the pockets instead of #1. That makes five different places for me.

brass128 Jul 2011 3:06 p.m. PST

1, most of the time. If I'm in the kayak, left pocket of my shirt, buttoned down, if I'm in uniform, and left in the car if I'm not.

It depends…at least in seven different places,
depending…
