Either for single or multiple passengers.

Any pics of what you have bought or made?

Thanks,

Dan

The Mega Blok Halo range has single troops with drop pods that would make cool escape pods for smaller scales:

The Dragons Universe range from Mega Bloks also have some neat pod-like containers for their bikes/dragons:

They are pretty cool and would work for tech type pods or more organic ones as well.

Landed or in-flight? The Khurasan bug dumper pods would be great for landed pods.

Landed! As an objective of sorts, perhaps to . . .

. . . retrieve files before they are captured by the enemy; or
. . . rescue a VIP that survived the destruction of an imperial flagship; or
. . . play the starting point of a squad forced to land on a hostile planet.

You can also get the starwars pod in roughly 1/64 scale from the old Action Fleet line:

Any good tutorials on how to make a terrain piece that represents a crashed escape pod?

How much damage can I inflict on the pod without making the occupants' survival too improbable?

Thanks,

Dan

No, but bury it partway into the base/foam, and/or cut in half to make it look like it is (preferably on a diagonal angle – yes, I know that will make it much harder), so it looks a bit more interesting.

Apply flock, sand, or other basing materials, and paint.

I'd possibly ding it up a little on the outside, and give it some good scorch marks, but anything more than that will probably not be survivable.

The new micro ops halo line has a "drop pod" type thing that would be perfect as an escape pod…
