On my 'Dressing the Lines' blog I've posted photos of some newly painted 28mm Maori and British figures from Empress Miniatures' wonderful new range of the 1840s New Zealand Wars. They were lovely fun to paint! link Here's a sample picture: link |

You've done a great job. A mate gave me the Maori Command pack from Empress recently. I'm looking forward to painting them, they're exceptionally well proportioned and sculpted. |

I am getting more and more tempted by this period and the Empress range. Maybe in 2012

The Maori look just wonderful. Your paint really brings them to life. |

There is something so right about these figures, which is emphasised by your painting skills. Well done. I look forward to seeing your other figures painted up, particularly the civilians lurking in the background of your photographs. I hope Empress expand on this range/period of figures. All very, very good. |
