I am seriously contemplating gaming the 45 in 54mm. I will use some of the John Jenkins beautys (saves on Painting!) and fill out the ranks with the like of irregular for the Brits. Is their anyone that does 54mm Jacobites?

Using the JJ stuff! Fantastic! As for additional Jacobites, you might have to buy some of the various model kits out there.

I don't know if he is still producing, but Plastic Underground in Oregon did make 45 brits and highlanders. I believe Chileria also makes some highlanders. Marks makes some british troops for the AWI that i will use someday. I got some Barzo highlanders for the F&Iwar that will fit in a bit. I also plan on someday putting my small forces together as well. I guess i have 40 or so highlanders and plenty of british. good luck and keep the site posted.

If you can afford it, go for it. It will be beautiful.

Actually, Jenkins figures are at least 60 mm and some are closer to 65 mm, so be careful when attempting to mix in figures that claim to be 54 mm. A Barzso figure is closer to 52 mm and would look ridiculous next to a Jenkins.
Yes, human beings are different sizes. But it is the overall girth of figures that will be a problem. A 40 mm figure looks silly next to a 28 mm figure, so think in terms of that.

Excellent, I also collect JJD Jacobites, so will be really interested in how your project progresses. What rules are you intending to use?
