How does Battlegames rate against something like Wargames Illustrated? |

Can't tell you since I don't read WI. However, I do read Battle Games are really like it. Well worth the price. Buy a PDF and see for yourself. |

I like Battle Games. You can find the table of contents of BG issues on their web site. As suggested above, pick an issue that interests you and try it. PDFs are useful for dipping your toe in the water. |

They are two very different magazines IMHO. Thats why I buy and enjoy both. WI tends to have a more mainstream approach and has gone down the route of adopting themes. Battlegames although having some super photos tends to more wordy and may appeal more to the thinking and mature gamer. It also tends to have more review and game theory content. Henry has done a super job in not only creating a distinctive title but also supporting and sustaining this as an auteur. |

also WI tends to have more FoW content ;) Seriously it isn't as over the top as made out or feared at the start given it is a very popular game system. |
