In Scott's Crossed Saber scenario books can anyone tell me, on the maps, what do the dark tightly spaced vertical lines represent? Are they steep hills? Depressions? I cannot find it anywhere (which means nothing – just ask my wife). I am specifically looking at the fleetwood hillo scenario around the Smith house and the Barbour house. Any help is greatly appreciated. Hank

I see golden yellow horizontal lines around those two houses in my copy, and they definitely represent hills. Each oval is a level, so the Barbour House is two levels above the surrounding countryside. Hope that helps!

Thanks Nazrat. They are gray in my pdf copy but other hills are golden, like yours. Guess its just a color issue of some sort. I'll treat them as regular hills. H

Yep, they are indeed hills.
