Hi guys Han Solo finished, I think he is OK, any improvment ideas? link |
malleman | 02 Jun 2011 6:41 p.m. PST |
I think the mini looks cool. Is Han Solo left handed? I think that I would bend his elbow to make it look like he is shooting from his hip. Can you do a group shot of all that you have done so far? Cool project, been fun to follow. MA |

You're getting better each new sculpt! |

Holster is on the wrong hip for that stance. |
28mmMan | 02 Jun 2011 7:27 p.m. PST |
Perhaps he is pulling an Inigo Montoya? ***** You are wonderful. Thank you; I've worked hard to become so. I admit it, you are better than I am. Then why are you smiling? Because I know something you don't know. And what is that? I
am not left-handed. [Moves his sword to his right hand and gains an advantage] You are amazing. I ought to be, after 20 years. Oh, there's something I ought to tell you. Tell me. I'm not left-handed either. |

True, my thoughts exactly at first, but then I started thinking that Gunner maybe a lefty and was doing a self-portrait, which would be super cool. |

Your practice is coming along rather nicely. You're getting a good feel of motion in this one and your putty handling is a lot more smooth. Your body proportions are a bit off, but that's something that we'll always fight with, especially in smaller scales. Keep up the good work. Rod |
Gunner Dunbar | 02 Jun 2011 7:56 p.m. PST |
Hi guys, to be honest it would be easy to say something like "its a self portrait" but just a stupid mistake that I only realize when I did the holster. |
malleman | 02 Jun 2011 8:13 p.m. PST |
Okay, now you got me thinking is there a Millennium Falcon at that scale? Don't look at it as a mistake. I say use him as an alternate boungy hunter/smuggler. Maybe that Coran guy who had his own ship that rotated? Don't remember his name, but I believe he was introduced in the 90s sometime. |

Gunner don't get me wrong it is a wonderful effort. And you are far braver than I. Showing your work the way you do
. Actually I would show more of the steps I take when build my vehicles, it is just I get cuaght up in the act of construction and forget to snap a shot or two
|
Rodrick Campbell | 02 Jun 2011 8:22 p.m. PST |
"Okay, now you got me thining is there a Millennium Falcon at that scale?" The old Ertl model kit would be a bit large, but you'd have plenty of room to move figures about in it. |

Ok the loaded question, said light freighter model, just and exterior or both inside and out? |
CPT Jake | 03 Jun 2011 3:09 a.m. PST |
It is not that the holster is on the wrong side, Han is right handed, the blaster is in the wrong hand
BUT the sculpt looks good. Leg to body proportions are a little off, but way, WAY better than I could do. Jake |

Agreed. Like I said, Han is pulling an Inigo Montoya "I admit it, you are better than I am. Then why are you smiling? Because I know something you don't know. And what is that? I
am not left-handed. [Moves his BLASTER to his right hand and gains an advantage]" |

Perhaps that evil Greedo, or Jabba tortured him, and broke his right hand/fingers, so he had to use his left one. Your sculpting is improving, young Jedi! |

Very nice, and yes, could we get a shot of all your 15mm star wars stuff together (what is it, Han, Chewie, Bobba Fett, was there more? I assume there will be more
) To bad Grand Moff Lucas has an I.P. turbolaser aimed at you
|
Gunner Dunbar | 03 Jun 2011 3:56 p.m. PST |
Hi guys I'm going with 28mm mans explination, after all what good swashbuckler isn't ambidextrous. Billthecat – Bobba Fett was actually Rodericks sculpt and one of the triggers to start my project, the other being Fjodin's 15mm Star Wars blog. TMP link 15mmstarwars.blogspot.com I will get a few more done then do a group shot. |
