I'm wondering what color the Israeli L-4s were during the '67 through to '73. I can find images of them in '48, but nothing after that. They were turned over to training squadron 100 in the late 50s, but still served on the front line up to 73. Anyone have an idea what colors they were? The two images on Wings Palette are from 48 and 56. |

Negative, Israeli L-4's wore a few different camo's. I've seen pic of them in Brown/Green camo, Brown and Brown/Blue grey camo. As for '73, not sure, but as everything seems to have gone the tan/brown/green camo by then it's safe to assume they did as well, though I did see pics of one used as a medical transport painted in red and white. If you can find it get the SAM Camouflage and Markings vol.3 and 4 on the IAF, great source for IAF camo from 1948-2001. Also, the pics on Wing pallet have a Super Cub from '78 in white and red/orange |
