Wasn't there a Twilight Zone or Outer Limits episode with tiny guys like these showing up in a normal human height town?

Anyway, would an extreme inter-scale game like that be fun, with 15mm dwarf astronauts (really 10mm tall) invading a 28mm town, with defenders 3 times their height?

I did some 12mmish figures a few years back that were intended to be used as tiny 28mm aliens. To really make the game work you either need to have them invade the interior of a building or provide them with some form of transportation. My guys had several types of small personal or small crew anti-gravity craft, supplemented by single "Diplomatic Walker" (a converted Atlas Mech from Battletech, painted to resemble a human business man with a big smile on his face)

We ran a few games with these guys using SuperSystem, and then a single Zombie Style game with the Aliens replacing the walking dead. I still have most of them in storage, though I can't find the box of masters and molds for some reason…think they might have gotten nicked.

Oh, so *that's* what that episode of Sam & Max: Freelance Police was parodying!

Excellent point!

Archive miniatures cast some frog-like aliens in 15mm for use with their 25mm figures. Somebody else, I could swear it was Zombiesmith, bought the molds and recast them for the modern market. They are not on Zombiesmiths site now.

@paintbeast Yep, thats them. Has anybody used them in a 28 m game. Back in the day GDW used them for 15mm Newts in Traveller.

There's a Philip K Dick story similar to that… Set on a terraformed Mars some weird carnival comes to town, and the locals all win these weird 1 foot tall silver dolls a bit like Action Man/GI Joe figures… which come to life and start wreaking havoc…

Pretty cool story :)

How would that be as a game???

Anyone else done 10mm tall SF dwarfs in a 28mm world game?

Or thought about it before?

Similar in many ways to a Body Snatchers fight: no deployment zones. It would be an odd excuse to use 28mm and 6mm minis on the same table, however. Not condusive to a large table, what with a lot of individually mounted 6mm among outsized terrain, but careful terrain building and maybe use a HOTT board (2-foot square) instead of larger.

Set firm scenario goals, such as the Silver Legion being after infrastructure with the people just being in the way, while the humans will be looking for direct body coun, and start rolling!

Small table works for me!!! Very cool.

Brilliant! Have any pics lying around?

@CC As soon as I read the first post, I said: Agnes Morehead in a non-speaking role!

Actually, when I saw the subject, I thought of the episode, but said 'no, he can't be talking dwarves.' ;>=

Doug

PS Atlas… How many folks have seen them painted up as a player on the local football team?

LOL

Well, this is what they look like next to a normal 15mm human:

QUESTION:

Does anyone have a photo or two of them little fellas next to an average 28mm figure?

Thanks,

Dan
