I'm working on a 54mm AWI collection and am having some problems painting the white ribbon on the tricornes. My traditional method would be to paint it white and work in the black for the hat. Do y'all have any pearls on how you paint tricornes? I would definitely appreciate it. BTW
the All the King's Men 54mm AWI is a GREAT figure line, fun to paint and looks great on the table. Highly recommended. Oh
and the price is VERY right! Steve Miller DFW Irregulars |

On big figures like that I would paint white and add the black hat colour later. Tidy up using a black marker pen. I hate these ribbons- in 15mm they a bind to do. |

I agree – I bought some black artists pens for this very reason – they work great |

Thanks! that's just what I'll do. I won't worry about the slop and paint/use Micron or Pitt pens. Appreciate the pearls!!! |

I do it the other way around. I paint the hat, then the ribbon, and then touch up the hat, if needed. |
