Hi Guys

I have recently started a blog to showcase the Imperial and French Italian wars armies I am working on. I have already been working on it for a couple of years but as so much new stuff seems to be being brought out for this period at the moment I think there will be more to come

Very nice collection! Are you organizing them with any particular rules set in mind?

Not really, when I was younger I was a big warhammer fan so I base them on warhammer size bases with the idea I will have the occasional WAB game but saying that I also like rules where no casualties are removed until the unit is destroyed as a whole. To be honest collecting and painting the figures is 95% of the enjoyment for me

Thanks for the reply! I'm more of a painter than a gamer myself.

Ooohhh… I like so much to remove casualties, and scatter miniatures of dead and wounded soldiers on the battlefield :-)

Have you looked at the Perfect Captain's Spanish Fury rules?
Free from his web site and as good as any commercial set----there is a new editon due out soon. Hopefully it will be as good as the first at capturing the period feel.

barcah2001 I am a member of the Perfect Captains yahoo group but I haven't tried the rules yet.

I keep most of my collection boxed away most of the time and rarely get the time to have any games. I think good rules for early 16th century sieges would be great as they were such a prominent part of the wars.

Another amazing, well-organized blog. DYING OF JEALOUSY!!!!

PS-
Look for the Pistolado II rules in about a week to a week-and-a-half.

Thanks for all the comments guys, I have just put up another big post of photos I took over Easter.

I have a couple more posts to do from photos I have already taken of various set ups and I think the blog will then become more of a Work in Progress type of thing with shots of the stuff I am currently working on. The big set up shots will be less common as I only normally set it all up every 3 or 4 months.

A little bit of thread necromancy to celebrate (or perhaps commiserate!) that this has now been running for exactly 10 years today.

Here are the early 16th century Hungarians: link

What a fantastic army, and congrats on the bloggiversary!

Thank you.

I've just realised it was 2nd May 2011 that I started it so I missed the exact day! But close enough I guess

Hearty congrats on the 10 year milestone, and a superb looking army.
