Referring to Game of Thrones, of course. I'm confused. I saw the Sneaky Git hobgoblin try to kill Bran with Tyrion's dagger in the HBO series. Then, I just finished the book. However, there are 3 more books
Anyway, I assuem he hobgoblin was hired by Cersei, but is it ever proven? Am I wrong? Jaime? Is this one of those threads that just keep oh hanging? Anyone who opens up and reads a thread like this and gets all upset about SPOILERS ia a pinhead, in my opinion. |

Doesn't the HBO series implicate Tyrion? |
John the OFM | 05 May 2011 12:43 p.m. PST |
He is implicated, but I think he talks his way out of it pretty well. It WAS his dagger, but he allegedly lost it in a bet against his brother. Tyrion would never bet against the family. Why would he try to finish off Bran? He has no idea why or if he was pushed. |

Tyrion covering for his sister if I remember right |

"He has no idea why or if he was pushed" Doesn't the brother's conversation before Tyrion goes to wall imply that he knows what's going on and yet still has his brother's back? Maybe I'm reading too much into that conversation. |

All will be revealed at a later date! It's in the books. |

"
he allegedly lost it in a bet against his brother. Tyrion would never bet against the family." That gets more complicated, and then more complicated again. "All will be revealed at a later date! It's in the books." Yep. But it's a long slog before that issue is revisited. Allen |

By the way, does the "story" have an end in sight? Or, does it just go on and on? |

I am sure the book doesn't say . You assume its the Lennister incest duo
But Wikipedia ( below ) points a finger at Joffrey
or maybe Littlefinger was involved more directly . ''Petyr Baelish further aggravated the Stark-Lannister divide when, after Joffrey arranged an attack on Bran Stark's life, Petyr lied to Catelyn and claimed the dagger used in the assassination attempt belonged to Tyrion Lannister'' |

Spoiler: In was Geoffrey Baratheon, he overheard his father saying something like, "it would be a mercy to put the boy out of his misery" and decided to act on it. |

So Martin can't even manage to spell "Geoffrey" correctly? Typical. (The frequency of typos in the first three volumes is ratyer startling.) Allen |

Like some folk can't spell "rather" as opposed to "ratyer"? 8) |

"I hope he doesn't turn all Turtledove on me" Don't worry. You can always trust a Lannister to be un-trust worthy. 8) |

>>> Like some folk can't spell "rather" as opposed to "ratyer"? This has to be explained *again*? Seriously? It is a long-established practice of TMP's Speling and Grammer Facsists to include an intentional typo in any post commenting on others' errors. Allen |
