I've (finally) added a 15mm Renaissance Manufacturers directory to my website, to complement the 15mm Ancients one

It's online here at link

You can rate the quality of any of the manufacturers there and it helps create a rating for other gamers to use.

Please let me know (via the email address on the page) if I have missed any manufacturers, or indeed any of the ranges.

Thanks

Tim

Very useful madaxeman,

not sure if its a browser thing (I'm running explorer for my sins) but only half the 'rating' lines and buttons are showing eg. I can only see the top half of 'excellent', 'very good' etc, though the button does work for me.

It would be great to get some comparison pictures up if possible. Some new manufacturers to me!

I actually don't have a big enough amount of Renaissance stuff myself to start adding a decent spread of figure photos, but most of the manufacturers seem to be better at having photos online than in the Ancient period..

I've tried it in explorer 8, but I don't seem to have a problem with it…. hmmm..?

Timbo W25 Apr 2011 5:09 a.m. PST

Hi madaxeman,

no worries, I'm on IE8 as well, probably just my creaky laptop doing something weird again!

What Timbo said about the site buttons.

madaxeman25 Apr 2011 5:14 a.m. PST

OK – I've tweaked it so the frames that the ratings peep through are larger – has that fixed it ?

vexillia25 Apr 2011 5:20 a.m. PST

Two things:

[1] Thanks for doing this.
[2] Rating buttons all showing on Firefox 4 and Chrome 12.

Hi madaxeman,

oddly some OK (Acies, Fire&Sword, Lancashire, Peter Pig, Eureka, Falcon) most still iffy!

Schlesien25 Apr 2011 6:39 a.m. PST

Thanks, very helpful. Was wondering what was out there. I will be filling out the ratings once I get more figures.

Timbo W25 Apr 2011 7:30 a.m. PST

All displaying fine for me now, cheers madaxeman!

What's happened to the Timecast Models site?

Keraunos25 Apr 2011 10:01 a.m. PST

seems to work fine on my I.E.8 – for what that is worth

Kadrinazi25 Apr 2011 11:04 a.m. PST

Very useful list.
If all minis are described by name of company producing them, then 'Fire and Sword System' should be under 'Wargamer' lebel instead, as that how Polish company producing them is called.

Thanks very much for the time and effort you put into doing this. Very useful!

madaxeman25 Apr 2011 3:05 p.m. PST

Yep – Timecast seem to have lost navigation to all their pages other than the home page. I think they were at Salute though, so hopefully nothing too amiss

Hi Mad
Great list but you forgot the Frie Korps figs which are now sold by QRF a fantastic range for ECW, lots of varity from an old range that holds its own even today.

Hi – LKM is the wrong name for the company, we changed it to QRF Models two years back. Keep up guys!

madaxeman26 Apr 2011 11:50 a.m. PST

Sorry – I was looking on the "Companies with TLA-based names who changed their branding in the past 18 months" board… !

madaxeman28 May 2011 9:23 a.m. PST

I've added a couple more manufacturers, and also now some pictures on a separate page comparing sizes

This is the size comparison page

Here (post no 5) You can find miniatures from Wargamer (By Fire and Sword) compare to minis from other manufacturers (unfortunately other models are from different historical periods):
