Started off with great support in terms of army lists, magazine articles and games at shows.

I'd like to…still my favorite ancients game. But, now that I"m back in the states I need to inspire others to play.

Yup. Still my favorite for the period.

I haven't played ancients in a while, but it will still be at the top of the list (with Comitatus) when I come back. I think the author now writes fairly constantly for the Two Fat Lardies WWII games etc.

Still play occasionally – I particularly like it for biblical era games.

A cool set of rules and the large bases let you create little mini dioramas that look great on the table. I've got a 15mm Tuetonic army where the infantry units definitely look like they are just about to receive a charge. Adds some drama to the scene instead of the usual X by Y figures on a base. Even better are my 6mm Byzantines on 15mm bases where the klibanophoros are actually in historical wedge formation. How many ancient rules let you do that?

Nope. Never found opposition so it remains untried.

Never seen it played here.

Did it ever show up at the big eastern USA Cons? Never saw it there. Strange how some games, like DBA have been going on with many players around the world for 20 years. Others just come and go.
