This past weekend, I finally got to guys together to start our Tanga Campaign, using the Skirmish Elite campaign book and a heavy dose of conversion to Gnome Wars. We managed to get through the first two scenarios on Longido Mountain before early Monday morning jobs made us call it a night. The AAR for the first battle can be found here: link |

I thought a 'tanga' was some sort of womens' underwear? |

Huh? Well I guess you learn something everyday. At least the city and respective battle are listed higher on wikipedia's list than the underwear, but below an Italian-based chimpanzee actress with the same name. I guess that's where obscure World War I battles belong. |

ViscountEric, Love the Gnomes. Also love Tanga games. We did a gnome-less version years ago before Gnome Wars came out. Hope you bring the game to Historicon. FYI, for anyone who is interested in Tanga, "The First World War" TV series has an episode which covers the battle and shows pictures of the town and the RR station. The series comes up on the Military Channel every now and then. It's worth watching. |

After many scheduling delays, a hurricane, and major flooding, Battle #4 is complete. link It was a bit underwhelming, a simple raiding behind the lines when previous battles against entrenched positions evoked more emotion amongst the players. Just one more scenario, and we can begin the fighting around the actual town of Tanga
and use the first ever "bee template" to probably recreate the Battle of the Bees. |

Battle #5, the final battle of the first part of the campaign, is in the books
errr.. on the blog. My friends had to bail, as I've been forced to do the last few months, so the game turned into a "solitaire plus two" game, with the help of my daughters, age 2 1/2 and 1. link |
