I suggested and Nic has placed my request in the 300 club. I have put in for 99 figures. I'm hoping this will get to 600 figures quick. Here's the link

Just saw Wind and Lion mount ago! (Thats stupid that in Russia where I was born (now I am AUstralian citizen) great films about colonial era are not known! You cant find dubbed version of Zulu there! Damn Soviet regime! Only in modern Russia they slowly started to dub old classic US, UK and european movies. But this does not stopped me, and I saw all these films in english, because now I dont need dub
Sorry for this long words.) The scene of capturing palace very inspiring to game it in 15/28mm :) |

IIRC the Marines were wearing a sort of pillbox cap, yes? If so, then in 15mm Freikorps (QRF) makes Marines in their Spanish-American War range (15mm): link And command: link And sailors: link Maybe not as good as Eureka's might be, but they are already out there! |

I knew about Freikorps. If this was 20 years ago I would've gone that route. I like to stay consistent with my armies. My British, Prussian(German) and French are 18mm. Thanks for the links though. |

krdavis32, If they were 28mm I'd be right there with you. "The Wind And The Lion" is my favorite movie of all time (I even have a copy of the original screenplay!). You are probably familiar with the amazing "The Red Shadow" site, but in case you're not, here's a link to Red Shadow's "The Wind And The Lion" page: link |

I would use the JTFM Enterprises US Elites (from the "When the Navy Walked" range). They are fairly close to what the Marines wore during the battle scenes later in the movie, not the dressier uniform with the pillbox cap. link |

Yes, I remember well that the Marines in this film (and some naval detachments) wore their service dress for the assault on the Bashaw's palace in Tangiers but campaign dress for the scene later in the village by the sea. They looked just like pictures from the Spanish-American War. |
