I made an order with Testors Corp to get some PollyScale paint from their Soviet Air Force colors only to find out that three of the five paints I ordered are no longer in production. What I need is either another manufacturer, close equivalencies, or recipes for the following paint colors:

USSR Topside Green
USSR Light Earth Brown
USSR Underside Blue

Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks and Salut y'all!

If you're interested in cheapo acrylic paints, like Folk Art, Apple Barrel, and DecoArt Crafter's Acrylics, I can give you a comprehensive range of my Soviet WWII color mixes.

Ok, here goes:

Legend:
FA = Folk Art
AB = Apple Barrel
DA = DecoArt Crafter's Acrylics (not Americana)
DAA = DecoArt Americana (only used once here)

Ratio of each is given before the color's name.
________________________________________________

AII Green new (early war overall upper, or camo)

1: AB Kiwi
or
1: FA Yellow Citron
________________________________________________

AII Green worn (early war overall upper, or camo)

1: AB Kiwi
2: AB Leaf Green
or
1: FA Yellow Citron
2: AB Leaf Green

(This would be 1 part Kiwi/Yellow Citron and 2 parts Leaf Green.)
________________________________________________

AII Black (early war camo)
and also
AMT-6 Black (mid war camo, late war only on bombers)

1: FA Pure Black
3: FA Medium Gray

(I suspect this formula should apply to any paint system, as there is no tone to this black shade.)
________________________________________________

AII Dark Green (early war camo)

1: DA Christmas Green

The above is the best match for Erik Pilawskii's swatches. But for better contast against AII Green, I use:

3: DA Christmas Green
1: DA Hunter Green
________________________________________________

"Factory Green" (early war overall upper on some odd fighters)

1: FA Old Ivy
________________________________________________

AII Brown (early war camo for some bombers and Il-2's)

1: AB Barn Red
1: FA Maple Syrup
________________________________________________

AE-9 Light Grey (also given as AEh-9) (early overall for bombers and upto 1940 on I-152, I-153, I-16)

1: AB Country Grey
2: FA Titanium White
________________________________________________

AII Light Blue (early war under)

1: FA Jamaican Sea
1: AB Regency Blue
________________________________________________

AMT-1 Light Brown (mid/late war camo for bombers and Il-2's)

1: DAA Khaki Tan
________________________________________________

AMT-4 Green (mid war camo)

3: AB Kiwi
1: DA Forest Green
or
3: FA Yellow Citron
1: DA Forest Green

(This latter one has better coverage.)
________________________________________________

AMT-7 Light Blue (mid/late war under)

1: FA Jamaican Sea
1: AB Regency Blue
1: FA Titanium White (good coverage, doesn't yellow)

(Any other white would do, as well.)
________________________________________________

AMT-11 Blue Gray (late war camo for fighters)

2: AB Dolphin Gray
1: DA Westport Grey
________________________________________________

AMT-12 Dark Grey (late war camo for fighters and bombers)

4: AB Pewter Grey
1: AB Aquamarine
1: DA Forest Green
or
1: DA Storm Cloud Grey
1: FA Aspen Green
________________________________________________

Wood Aerolak (mid war upper and camo with AMT-11 on some fighters)

1: AB Pewter Gray
1: AB Aquamarine
________________________________________________

I think this pretty much covers all. Any comments or criticism is welcome, and WANTED, actually. I'd love to see more discussion of people's thoughts about the colors they use.
