Looking for some good looking 20mm Vietnam figs. Any suggestions?

I like SHQ, and the no longer available Qualiticast range. Unfortunately the Qualiticast figs are a little bigger but I make do.

I hate the clunky looking Britannia stuff.

The RAFM Charlie Company minis aren't bad.

My favorite was the FAA but they are no longer in production either…. So I'll second SHQ.

RAFM & ESCI.

Britannia may be a moot point, until they begin trading again. Since Dave Howitt's death, the website has gone and most dealer's supply of figures is getting thin. You should be able to get a fair idea of Britannia's Viet Nam range from this photo thread on the Guild:

You might be interested in Mike Ruffle's 'Eleven Bravo' wargaming site, which is dedicated to Viet Nam gaming, and has some, but not all, of the figure reviews from his old 'Grunt online' site reposted here.

Look for the drop down menu in the grey bar at the top under reviews.

SHQ has the distinct advantage of being available.

Liberation Miniatures, Elheim Miniatures, Under Fire Miniatures…all make great Nam figs.

Another vote for FAA.

I guess I'd better mention the Platoon 20 Vietnam ranges that we produce…

I have an extensive Nam collection and the majority of the infantry are from Platoon 20 with a good number of Liberation for the VC.

Britannia are nice if you like the sculpting style but may not mix well with most other manufacturers.

I am planning on getting rid of a bunch of my 1/72nd scale stuff, switching to 15mm. Mostly, I have RAFM and ESCI. If you are interested let me know.

I use Platoon 20, various 1/72 plastics, and some Qualiticast when I can find them.

Lib Mins, WarTime, Elhiem, SHQ, RAFM, Under Fire and Qualiticast (FAA).
