I've started to paint the cataphracts for a Seleucid army:

The elephant and scythed chariot are already done, so I'm only waiting on these cavalry elements to be able to field the army.

The Seleucids are my favourite ancients army. They have a huge variety of forces, which can make it difficult to co-ordinate them in battle, but IMHO that's what makes them so much fun to play with.

Yes, I've only used them once, with stand-ins for the knights, but they are fun, and I think the knights, elephants and pike work together, and the scythed chariot's just the icing on the cake!
