Hello all,

As promised elsewhere, here's a link to my blog, Martin's Models, wherein you will find my review of Padre Paul Wright's 'Funny Little Wars'.

Enjoy!

A good if somewhat off-putting review of the rules. I had high hopes for them, but now I hesitate.

I'm still inclined to recommend them, Nick, if only for the sheer inspiration they offer. The rules need some work, but there's nothing most gamers could not work around.

Thanks for the review. Very enjoyable, except for the two column format, which is painful when reading online, hence why I also like rules that are not in column… :^)

That's a good and fair review, Martin. Very much my take as well. Plenty of old school flavor, but plenty of fluff as well. Sort of like a cake that lays the icing on a little too thick.

Still, there's value here as well. For example, in my view small arms fire rules represent improvement over your men serving as mere cannon fodder for the spring guns. Is it $40 USD worth of value ? Caveat emptor.
