Do they exist? I spent a couple of hours last night searching for them. While the Chinooks would be nice, the Sea Knights, are more of a priority. I need 2-4 of them, (I could do with 2, and a couple of 1/100th scale CH-53's also)
. And I can't find them. Tamaiya used to make the CH46 in that scale, but it's been "discontinued"
I can find them by the loads in 1/72 but thats just too dang big for 15mm
. Please help by sending me any links, etc
to where these rare things may be
Thanks |

And while we're on the subject, for our Brit friends, Chinook starts like shoe. Not like change. |

I would love to get hold of some CH-53's also. I oredered three of the Old Glory Chinooks when they came out very nice model. |

Check Ebay. I found a model kit of a 1/100 Chinook last year from I think a Korean company, and every once in a while it pops up again. There wasn't much of a kit, maybe 20-30 parts in toto, but it's good enough for the table top. |

Thanks Jay. By the way, 'patronising' is spelled with an 's', not a 'z'. ;o) |

!!!!$15.99!!!! for a Tailwinds diecast??!!??!!??!! They're $2.99 USD apiece at Walmart. Of course you may have to hunt for a long time before you find the particular toy plane you want. I'm not convinced the Tailwinds diecast is 1/100. Tailwinds is a box scale series. But if you're not a scale bigot, $2.99 USD is a good price. |

The tailwinds is closer to 1/144 in my opinion. A little small to use with 15mm. |

Murphy, E-Bay: auction I will also check with CRM Hobbies in the city to see what he has in stock. I also have some of the original Huey ROCO kits if you need any. Will |

Late commer to this thread. Sorry if this has already been solved. I too am looking for a CH-53 in or around 1/100. Any variant is fine. No luck on Ebay or Amazon. Any tips? |
fuzzy bunny | 17 Mar 2011 8:04 a.m. PST |
There are a couple of the ROCO CH-53's (not the E model)in 1/87th scale which is the closest to 1/100 you're going to get listed here down the page a bit link . As far as I know there wasn't a 1/100 scale model of the CH-53 in any configuration made

I'm not convinced the Tailwinds diecast is 1/100. Tailwinds is a box scale series. But if you're not a scale bigot, $2.99 USD USD is a good price. The Huey and Apache seem about right but having seen the Chinook I'd say it's way too small. 1/144 is about right. |

Hi to Lampyridae Yes it is 1/100 The main problem with helicopter dimensions is that the rotor area is included in the length. rough dimensions of any web site 30m long 18m wide as is easy to see on any picture a chinook is not 18m wide! fuselage dimensions length 51ft 15.54m width 12ft 5 inch 3.78m chinook-helicopter.com also the apache is a monster!! length including rotor area 57 ft with only 6-8 ft blade overhang at the nose so between chinook and apache there is not a lot in it yours dot |
