Hi there, I placed an order with a company in Indiana. The order was shipped on Feb. 2nd. using International First Class by the USPS. So far nothing has arrived. I know this was around the time when that mother of snowstorms hit the US and that Homeland Security is messing up a lot on international shipping, but can it really take this long? THX, Burkhard |

Based on my past experience you should have received your order within two/three weeks of it being sent. There aren't any problems with shipping from the US that I'm aware of – Homeland Security are only causing problems for mail sent to the US. |

Burkhard: I have found that some packages to Germany can take 4+ weeks. A package sent in late December took well over a month to arrive to our friends there. I would hang tight another week or so to see what happens. Generally, shipping times to Germany are fairly good, but it seems some items fall into the blackhole of customs for a while. Doug |

I've found the crazy shipping issues from November through January are largely over, but occasionally a few German packages take some time. |

Sort of varies it seems. I have sent a half dozen or so different packages to Europe since the New Year. 2-4 weeks has been the transit time on them, with no particular pattern to which package takes the longest. The longest I have had a regular (not lost) package take to get to a person in a Western European country (excluding Italy – due to past experiences I will not ship there anymore unless it goes something like DHL/UPS) has been 6 weeks – so until you hit that point, I wouldn't get too worried. One person actually received two packages and the second package (sent 4 days after the first) showed up 2 days before the first package. The upside (not sure if it is just a fluke) but I have been getting packages from Europe in 2-3 weeks in the past month or so. |

THX for your experiences so far. Ochoes mine that a letter sized package usually takes a month at most. Contacted the seller to see if he could find something out. Only answer so far was that I should check with my local post office. Told them that I had already done that. Lets see how the story goes on! Cheers, Burkhard P.S. @Doug: Hope you are doing fine
strangely enough I just thought about the Historicon we met the other day! |
