Hello, I am curious what was the actual colour of the uniforms of the Russian Naval Infantry, aka the Black Death.

Also if anyone has a particular paint and manufacturer to recommend.

There at least 3-4 related topics in the message boards that can be found with a search for Russian Naval Infantry, for instance.

Depends on the scale of the model and what distance you want to view your figures at.
I paint 15mm for 2-3 feet viewing.
I painted balck undercoat – drybrushed lt blue/grey over the raised parts then finished with a couple of coats of dark blue ink
Looks right to me :)
