Tim Tilson asked me to post this on his behalf, I hope it isn't too commercial for this board, and I think it will be of genuine interest.
Colonial Campaigns is proud to announce it latest wargame scenario book:
Sikh Wars, 1823-1849
The Rise and Fall of the Sikh Kingdom
This book featuring ten scenarios covering the Sikh Kingdom of the punjab. They are as follows:
Naushera March 14, 1823
Jamrud April 30, 1837
Mudki, December 18, 1845
Ferozeshah, December 21, 1845
Cornes' Convoy January 21, 1846
Aliwal January 28, 1846
Sobroan February 10, 1846
Kineyree, June 18, 1848
Sudoosam July 1, 1848
Multan January 2, 1849
The scenarios were written to be played using The Sword and the Flame rule sets, although past experience shows they can be adapted to any rule set. The first two scenarios cover battles between the Sikhs and the Afghans. Four of the next eight cover portions of the major battles in the First and Second Sikh Wars. Given the size of these battles, the scenarios feature portions of the main battle with their own unique victory conditions. Cornes' Convoy covers a small action featuring Regimental Quartermaster Cornes attempting to get his supply train past a superior Sikh force with only 50 stragglers. Kineyree and Sudoosam feature British-lead native armies battling Sikh rebels. The final scenario, Multan, covers the house to house fighting in the siege of that city. All these have been extensively play tested. The book also has a campaign history, uniform section and bibliography.
The book retails for $20 USD and will be available at Cold Wars from various dealers specifically On Military Matter, Brigade Games, and the Last Square.
The author is Tim Tilson whose previous book was Maximilian in Mexico covering the French intervention there.
I will be glad to pass on comments or questions to Tim.
