What ia a popular basing scheme for 15mm?

Now there is a question..

BLB uses three bases of 6 figures plus an extra base of pikemen if your units have them. My own WSS figures are all on 25mm square bases with four figures and I just fudge the issue. They manage to fight under most rules I have tried okay ie, Age of Reason, WRG, BLB and lately Black Powder.

Ours are 6 figures on a 30mm square base, 3 cavalry on a 40mm square base.

I find if I base two figures on a 20mm x 15mm stand and use magnet sheet to make movement trays, there ain't a rule set I can't rebase for in an hour or less. Covers almost any period up to 1900 too…

Yes DAF thats it

BHM thats kind of the idea I was thinking of as well for the foot. Had not come up with one for the horse.

We use 40 x 30mm for 2 x 3 ranks of foot and 3 horse figures. Brigadiers are single figs and higher ranks on 40 x 30 or 30mm circles. Guns and artillerists on 40 x 30. The rank of Pike are 3 0r 4 figs on a 40 x 15mm base.

I use nearly the same as Shagnasty, foot are on 35 x 30, 2 x 3 ranks, pike are on 35 x 15, 1 x 3 rank, cav are on 40 x 40, 3 figs per base, artillery are on 30 x 40. Wile generals are on round bases 40, 30 & 20mm round.
Take a look at some photo's on my blog to see how they look.

I'm doing 28mm on 45mm squares. I thought I'd go for a line of four bases of muskets and one of pike.
I'm not sure about having a base of pikes hanging around at the back- would they actually form up like that??
