Since they are not too many posts on this board, maybe take a look at my first attempt of painting flats:

I think that's how flats should look.

Based on my minuscule knowledge, they look great

Good work. How long did it take you to paint all of those?

Hi Phil

Looking good.

I had a go at some flats last year. I painted over some I got off ebay.

I also hankered after some SYW as well. Seeing yours has reminded me that I still have that itch.

Good start, Phil !

Yeah, no need to go in for lavish highlighting and shading jobs on your gaming figures. I wish I could bring myself to paint them more simply, I'd get a lot more done.

@Chortle:

Difficult to say – I usually paint in short batches of 20 minutes or so every morning before leaving for work.

Anyway, my guess would be a total of 3 hours or so for 23 figures.

Take a look at the British Flat Figure Society's website. Lots of painting advice there.

Good job on those!
