A few years ago I bought a jar of glue from a model shop in Stirling for gluing together a metal model car. I was told was a premixed epoxy, It came with a brush applicator, in a small clear bottle, the glue was very thick and clear with bubbles in it. If someones made toffee then you'll know what this was like. I'm thinking it would be handy to have some again. Any clues on manufacturer and product name?

Liquid Nails used to be available where I live, but their latest mix is horrible. Supposedly, they changed it here, due to environmental concerns.

It may still be available in other states, I'm told, and/or internationally, but not really sure.

Hmm I think now it maybe have been 'Revell Contacta Special', I found a pic and the bottle looks right. Anyone know if it is similar to the stuff I used?

I'm wondering how "premixed epoxy" could work. Epoxy is a resin (which means a plastic) that cures by chemical reaction when the two components (resin and hardener) are joined. I know I had a contractor paint my garage floor and tell me there was some epoxy in the paint, so it must be possible to prepare a container of epoxy solution that doesn't cure until it's applied.

If you do figure out what it was and it was truly premixed epoxy, please post. I'll be watching this topic. It would be darn useful to just open a jar of epoxy and dab it on like other glues, no mixing first.
