Take a look at the Lost Battalion Games website. They are using painted FAA figures with the the Board Game "Sergents." That's what they bought it for! I was understanding of Baxter's plight but why the blazes did he do this. You can't get FAA figures (tried to get some packs of Homeguard this last year from LBG and they sounder like they were having casting problems; so, I just thought"wait you don't need junk") and since he bought "Wargames" you can't get anything but Essex for FOW (gag) in the USA. He crapped out on that too. |

It just seems they don't understand that they would sell shedloads more figures by themselves than they ever will with a card game, pity, I could have spent USD$500 with them this week but instead it will go elsewhere to companies that are happy to answer emails and who remember that it us, the customers that keep them in business in the first place |

I also know people (myself included) who are dying to get FAA 20mm's. Just sad, hopefully this will change. (wanted to say this here too) |

Roger, Lost Battalion Games has been involved in the miniatures world for several years, going back at least to Panzer and the 15mm Sergeants! On the Eastern Front miniatures variation. We also produce one of the best Napoleonic rulesets on the market in Napoleon's Battles III. Jeff Billings, our primary partner, has wanted to produce SMG for nearly five years. One of the limiting factors was the number of different nationalities and poses that would be required. When he saw the opportunity to purchase one of the best and most complete 20mm WWII lines on the market, it wasn't a hard decision to make. There is no intention on our part to subsume the FAA line into SMG. We were at Cold Wars, Nashcon, and Historicon this year, and we will be at conventions throughout next year as well. We have spent more hours setting up our new e-commerce site than I care to remember, but we are almost ready to turn it on. I still need to take a series of blackwash pics for the site, but I primarily want enough inventory for the customers that have been sending us orders, so photos will be added as they are ready. I apologize to the entire community for how long this process has taken us. We have greens for a new Gurkha series going out for mastering, and are looking for other ways to expand. SMG is not the end of FAA, it's a way to introduce them to a whole new group of gamers. I am currently the person responsible for managing the inventory and production for FAA. Anyone who wants a catalog now can send a line to sales@losbattalion.com or you can sent me a request at steve.balaz@lostbattalion.com |
