MaryJane (Duggie) Tilden writes:

Thanks to all of you. Now Charlie is dead and if he had found Chuck it might have changed things for both of them. I don't know but Chuck is probly gone now to. Compassion before parinoia.

Does anyone have a clue what is being referred to here?

Did we kill Charlie and Chuck too? We are such bastards…

spacehulker17 Jan 2011 2:59 p.m. PST

Im happy to be of service Maryjane, now if anyone else wants someone killing, i have a glowing reference.

Battle Works Studios17 Jan 2011 2:59 p.m. PST

No idea.

Who is Mary Jane Tilden?

SJDonovan17 Jan 2011 3:07 p.m. PST

Mary Jane Tilden appears to have been the subject of a case study by a psychotherapist or psychiatrist (never could work out the difference). I suspect someone is playing a practical joke that only they are likely to get. Probably a contributor to the Napoleonics boards. link

Sounds like the ending of a Cormac McCarthy novel.

Sounds like one of the more sophisticated spambots that spit out weird arse messages.

Might be a spambot. There's one out there that's taken a liking to the webpage where visitors can send 'Messages to the Editor' – but the content has always been random quotes (not even starting or ending the sentence) followed by some URL.

Battle Works Studios17 Jan 2011 5:30 p.m. PST

Spambot or no, it's given me an excellent name for the next post-1960's NPC I need in a roleplaying game.

Andrew May117 Jan 2011 5:33 p.m. PST

A spam bot. Yeah right Bill. Maybe Charlie and Chuck are 'sleeping' under your patio…

Apparently the "spambot" didn't use a spell check.

CLDISME18 Jan 2011 7:12 p.m. PST

It might be from Mary Jane since she seems to use spell check the same way as Bill's message.

Sharper minds than mine have a possible solution to the mystery: Might be this Chuck, and "Charlie" might have been his grandson.

Bashytubits09 Apr 2013 3:18 p.m. PST

Maybe an RPG gone horribly wrong? Too much FOW and GW at the same time?

Kyn ell12 Apr 2013 7:45 p.m. PST

Could this be the Charlie Chuck you refer to?
