If so, how far into the future to they look?

Thanks,

I think they do – 15 to 25 years maybe.

I was thinking of using the GZG colonial militia (the ones with the soft cap) as police/security forces and the police (the ones with the helmets) as colonial militia – just swapping their roles.

Or would these Rebel Minis work better?

Really depends on Who's police.

Cacique Caribe08 Jan 2011 11:54 p.m. PST

Something like the ones we saw in Minority Report, perhaps?

paint the uniform blue and you got police

Sundance09 Jan 2011 12:29 a.m. PST

Both would work – depending on what effect you're going for.

This concept art of futuristic SWAT looks cool, doesn't it?

The pics in the original post remind me of the Mars security forces in Total Recall, so that would be a yes.

In the 2011 15mm request thread I asked for generic lightly-armed/armoured troops and sets of conversion heads to cover security, police, SWAT & colonial militia types – changing headgear and paint jobs would make them pretty flexible.

Yep, Old Crow sure would. I think anyway, very well.

Mega-City One has law enforcement.

LOL

Goldwyrm, I'm shooting for a more realistic look, and not that far into the future. :)

Thanks,

Dan

I think so, although maybe not the mortar

As noted, a lot is in the paint

My daughter-in-law just finished her tactical team training, and when her team kits up they don't look much like cops on the beat! They actually look a lot like the Rebel minis

Cacique Caribe12 Jan 2011 4:42 p.m. PST

Then I guess I'm gonna have some cops soon!

Thanks guys,

Dan

The Old Crow infantry would look good with blue bodies and white helmets/shoulder pads.

Also look at CMGs Yg Fighters (Merc9)

Mortar could be a chem smoke launcher for riots?

Jemima Fawr12 Jan 2011 6:38 p.m. PST

Yes.

Or alternatively No.

It's in the future. It hasn't happened. It's not real. You decide. Why do you need to ask (again)?
