Do you remember the Evil Times when it was not silly? I much prefer the current attitude where we do not take anything seriously. SERIOULSLY! |

To give a serious answer, thank God it is a silly place. The world is filled with enough Serious Stuff. People out of work, wars in far away places involving those closest to us, earthquakes, floods, blizzards, plagues of locusts, relentless disease striking those we love and the belief held by many that any and all things are simply beyond their control. I don't need anyone here to be serious. This is where I come to have fun, forget about the real world and get lost in my toys again for a while. I like TMP with a silly attitude, because that is what I really want to be. I aspire to be silly when I come here. After all, is there anything sillier than a bunch of grown ups playing with toy soldiers? Serious Stuff need not apply

I always vote for the Silly Party! It was silly, is silly and in all probability, will remain silly. |

There may or may not be a correlation but when my kids would get giggly and otherwise generally annoying to each other I would suggest to them they were obviously bored with what they were doing and encouraged them to find something else to do that would engage their interest. |

We are grown men and women who play with toy soldiers. If it ain't silly, you're doing it wrong! |

Back when I was a well paid draftsman, I used to frequent a discussion group at the Autodesk website. It was rather silly. Unfortunately, the Evil Corporate Minds™ at Autodesk shut it down. For being silly. |

I might suggest doing a TMP search for "Silly"
There was even a Silly Regiment in the French army. (Weren't they all?) TMP link |

Silly is fine. The escalated trend of sarcasm, venom and generally childish behavior have both made me consider dropping out and compelled me to check it out more than once a day. Oh what a world
