I am looking for a 15mm scale T-80U or T-90 – does anyone make these models in 15mm scale? Many thanks. |

I would have said QRF, but I just checked there :( Not that I am aware of, Greg B. |

I'd love to find a T-55 Enigma, with the sloped reactive armor on the front. Yet another scarce model, sadly. |

Some one posted pic's of a conversion they were doing
but other wise your out of luck. That conversion was very far off the mark sadly. I'd love to find a T-55 Enigma, with the sloped reactive armor on the front. Yet another scarce model, sadly. Enigma was passive bolted on armor, not reactive. Think it was actually filled with concrete which was aimed at taking the teeth out of ATGMs. I've done a T-55M5 using QRF's T-55M picture As I've said in other posts – at this point your best option is to convert yourself a T-72M2001, which is essentially a T-90 lite. Its a pretty simple process, even for someone as ham-fisted as I am with sculpting, and gives you something modern to field in Russian forces. |

I doubt that, all it takes is some plasticard and a toothpick :) |

Soon as I can get the masters from Chas to make the modifications. I did just get a batch of French FAMAS and modern Chinese weapons though

What about the toy/die-cast stuff – any T-80U or T-90s out there in something close to 15mm scale? |

None that I know of. I'd just wait for Geoff now. I'm pretty sure he's taken the many hints we've been throwing at him! |

I AOTRS SHIPYARDS on Shapeeways (google it) does a T55 Enigma MG100-R04 T55 Engima – but its an expensive spacialist 3D printed job. There are some plans to do a T90 at 1/144 (for us MG)so an upscale may be possible but again these are not mass production items so will be expensive at 15 mm |

Chas told me he had an Enigma on the way. He's just sent me a base to produce the T-84 Oplot-M so I may have to look at the T-80U. We currently have the T-80B and BV. |

Irish serb was asking opnions about T-80U in some point here, but apparently its either on hold or wasnt popular enough. Khurasan produces T-90A (welded turret) in 15mm, which is the most up to date general issue variant. If you want early production T-90 (casted turret), orginaly known as T-72BU, or export variant T-90S (both without shtora-1 counter-measure system), then Zvezdas 1:100 T-72B offers good basis for conversion as the early T-90 wasnt really much more than a new FC-integrating T-72B – for zvezdas kit you need to add TCs NSV-HMG to cupola, cross-wind meter antenna located in between turret hatches and smoke launchers to the side of the turret. You can also build mid-production/1st russian general issue model from that kit, but in addition to commander NSV and smoke launchers, you need to add Shtora-1 boxes too. There are some other minor differences too, propably wont get noticed in 15mm scale. |
