And where can I find a 15mm Rita Hayworth? My FOW U.S. inf. need a objective marker that will inspire them to victory. Betty would work also. |

Based on the overall package and personal taste, I would pick Rita, that's not to say I would kick Betty out of my foxhole and a cold evening. |

Ah, but how many of them could also design a torpedo navigation system and look good at the same time
I give you
Hedy Lamarr! [yes
I have just been watching Wallace and Gromit's World of Inventions!] |
John Treadaway | 01 Dec 2010 1:47 p.m. PST |
Headly Lamarr – wasn't he the villain in Blazing Sadles? But seriously, not Betty Grable – way too cheesy, so Rita from the original options, but Laren Bacall or Veronica Lake would do. At a pinch. Who am I kidding? Ah – as I suspected: no one

Rita Cansino (Hayworth) for me, Lads! When she was still her father's dancing partner (and, tragically something more
), she performed at my Grandfather's Vaudeville Theater and gave my very young Mother her castanets. Great beauty, great talent, great tragedy. TVAG |

Veronica or Lauren; it is a VERY difficult choice so I chose both. |

Nope, for us Brits it has to be Jane !!! I know she was only a black and white newspaper cartoon but that just made the fantasies all the more
well, fantastic. |

I had never thought about it before, but looking over some of the links and the various suggestions (by the way, I vote for Lauren Bacall) it struck me that Mae West apparently doesn't have a WWII pin up. Heck, even Lucille Ball had a pin up so why not Mae? Sure she was into middle age, but still looked mighty good. Is there a WWII pin up of her I'm not aware of? |

You guys are onlt touching the surface and are naming women that are popular today. Take a look at this link and you may want to revise your choice. link Linda Darnell Caril La look good to me. Mae West was 48 ( age !!) in 1941 so explains lack of pin ups |
