After Stephen's earlier post I did email Miniature World again regarding my payment from them. I asked what the hold up was, told them that the post on the minatures page did nothing to boost my confidence, and asked if we could get this settled. Unlike some of you, I did get a reply stating that they had tried to pay me for the work twice and it was unclaimed. They also told me that the work was unsatifactory, which was not mentioned when they received it or 10 days later when they returned my previous email regarding payment. In fact, they sent the following: "We did take the liberty to make several photos of the base, and will be more than happy to Post on The Miniatures Page as well as MiniSculpt just as you have done. Unless of course you want to delete your message that were let in error because of your own failings to do a decent job." I wasn't even aware that I had posted to MiniSculptor and had until this point only rsponded to Stephen's post here. I guess we'll see if I get to be Miniature World's bad trader of the month. Anyone else been threatened by them today? Rodrick |

Lon, I was to be paid through paypal. And sometimes the recipient has to check the claim button to get the money. Rodrick |

Paypal is right, but who sends a second "payment" after the first one goes unclaimed? Sounds like a bad CYA job to me. Ed the THW guy. |

Rodrick You can check your Paypal account history. Even if unclaimed and it was canceled it should still show as such in your historical log. I am curious to know if it actually was done as they sated to you. b/r Lon |

I did check the history before posting the first message of this thread last night. I wanted to be sure that I hadn't somehow missed it. All in all, the sum of money isn't large or even that important to me. I was a bit shocked and irritated that they would have the nerve to threaten me when I confronted them with my concerns. Probably just a character flaw, but I get a little stubborn and testy when that happens. Rodrick |

I would like anyone who has "difficulties' with this person/company to contact me. We might have an avenue to correct the problem, if enough people come forward with their stories. Stephen Thomas sales@oldglory15s.com 616-837-7045 |

That approach makes a lot of sense to me. First you contract with an artist for a product. Then just don't pay 'em. When they complain, you then announce that the product was no good and threaten to besmirch their artistic reputation in public forums. Should work ! |

I really would like to here of any problems with "Miniature World", as I am in discussion with them at the moment about a project (in fact I have produced some sample greens - but not sent them yet). Should I abandon this job or just be very careful how I deal with them! Positive feedback would also be good to here just to put my mind at rest! |

Iron Mammoth There are three threads on this issue, I would advise that you look at all three threads for your answers. |
