Started painting my Perry "Hessian Jaegers" today, intend to use them primarily as French Veteran Militia for "This Very Ground". These two models are meant to be used as Officer and NCO.

More about the models, more pictures and a guide to painting them like this can be found on my blog.

Very nicely painted.

Like the eye patch…you add that or was it molded like that?

It's original and unmodified :-)

Eye-candy!
I always like imaginary uniforms that look so good they would 'deserve' to have existed!
Not tempted by a little Imagi-Nation, btw? What about a small, remote, additional part of 'Nouvelle France', for instance? Could field a 'true' (at skirmish scale, at least) unit of Corps de Cavalerie in less Marechaussee-looking uniforms?

Thanks, currently painting 3 more models , all in kneeling poses, hope to have them finished later today so I can post pictures tomorrow :-)

Never heard of Imagi-Nation, though I have my hands full with multiple miniature games so I think I'll stick to This Very Ground for now. Though I would love to take a look at that syste/game if you have any link or pictures?

Imagi-Nation is not a game system, it's an imaginary country created, as already advocated in the late "60 – early "70 by P. Young in 'Charge! Or, how to play wargames' and C. Grant in 'The War Game' and for a part quoted in this (remarkably illustrated) interview: toofatlardies.co.uk/blog/?p=312

""imagi-nation" – Why?"

A historical gamer tempted by the idea, thanks to cheap 'generic' plastic miniatures:

'An illustration is better than a lengthy speech' so those intrigued could do worse than visit this 'collective' blog emperor-elector.blogspot.com (links to some 80 'individual blogs) and this forum link both devoted to 18th C. Imagi-Nations.

Hope you'll intrigued, at least;
Best regards
