I am glad it is taking off, everybody has lots of things they no longer want and others always seem to have nice things that you need..it was inspired in part by the Bring and buy at MOAB but a little less crazy and Willow and I kicked some ideas around doing it at the Valiant Stormers club..long before this while still living in sydney I had thought about a special Fair Day at Annandale but it was a difficult concept to tie in with a club meeting, especially as it involved hefting a lot of stuff something of a distance up stairs .. and then I thought it and I said to Willow, half joking , "well I have a huge block, we all have cars , Marulan is in easy distance from both Canberra and Sydney and in virtual spitting distance of the 'Gong" so the concept was born in the Green Grocer Cafe in Goulburn ( a place where many plans are hatched by the way).. At 09.00 on Sunday morning I was convinced it was going to be a washed out disaster and as a number of emails rolled in with frankly very weak excuses for bailing I began to feel worse..then Mick turned up and Chris M and well it went from there..Thanks to all those who made the trip from Sydney ,the 'Gong and Canberra even DR Gonzo who turned up when it was all over and packed up but graciously bought me coffee in the Meridian Cafe and then accompanied me on an interesting, if not very long ,walk around the charming town main street of Marulan. marulanregion.com |

well why not a quick tour around the fine village of Marulan As suggested at the Green Grocer on Monday, gamers garage sale till lunch, then adjourn to the Local Terminus pub for a counter lunch, then a spot of Golf on the way back to the cottage on the world class 9 hole Railway Golf course! cheers matt |
