Prompted by this TMP link of course. I would dearly love to see the first Minifigs SF range brought back – with the cehan pinheads etc. And the Mythical Earth range – wonderful figures. And the SF spacships range – really nice little range. What else ? Oh, the skeleton bell and the wind demon on cart from VFW if nothing else. I promise to buy them both. |

I wouldn't mind a full set of the Mythical EArth range. I bought one from a friend, but it was lost in the mail. The whole range! Never did show up. That was the biggest mail loss I had. |

BTW – The VFW Bell Tower was reissued by GFI a few years ago. I bought two sets. Haven't assembled either. I would sell the second set if I could find it! |

I had a similar experience with ME figures bought/exchanged for a largish number someone had – but was sent as a couple of parcels and 1 split in the sorting office and a lot of the figures were lost. There must be a curse on the ME range ! |

Are the SYW figures available yet? I have gaps to fill and like "uniform" armies even if they aren't the best. |

Should have specified, the 25mm SYW line. |

For me the choice would be: 15mm 2nd gen Napoleonics Valley of the Four Winds The unreleased D&D evil clerics and female elves that were always listed in the catalogues but never saw the light of day. The D&D demons – especially Demogorgon, Satan and Beelzebub And just in case Dave Ryan is reading this, is there any chance of a heads-up if you have any plans to re-release the 2nd gen Napoleonics? Because if they are going to make a comeback I can stop wasting huge amounts of money buying them on eBay (and I promise I will spend it all on Pig-Faced Orcs and the current 15mm SYW range instead) |

The 2nd generation 15mm ECW were pretty cute from the examples I've seen. I wonder how many other G2 ranges were better than those that replaced them? |
SJDonovan | 24 Oct 2010 5:59 a.m. PST |
@21eRegt I'm pretty sure the whole of the 25mm range has been back in production for a while now: link @Timmo UK I agree about the 2nd gen 15mm ECW figures – I much prefer them to the current range. However, I think the current range of SYW 15mm infantry is an improvement – though I still use 2nd gen cavalry (the ones on the pretty horses) whenever I can get hold of them. |

Did Minifigs ever do a 25mm Plains Indian Wars range, or is this a figment of my imagination? |
Warbeads | 24 Oct 2010 6:45 a.m. PST |
SJDonovan, the link just returns a white page
Gracias, Glenn |

Hi Glenn, I'm not sure what the problem is. It works when I click on it. Try this one: link It goes to the main page then you can click through to the SYW range (they've added some pictures so it's worth a look) Stephen |

I would go for VFW then ME I know the figures in VFW are plain but they hold up fine to the cheaper end for skirmishing so I would be happy. Now only issue is the cost – they would have to match MegaMinis to get me interested. Andrew Main blog: blog.kings-sleep.me.uk |

@charla Minifigs did do a Plains War Indian range in 25mm. It included 8 different 'redskins' on foot and seven mounted; ten US infantry and four US cavalry. They also did gunfighters and a fairly extensive Mexican and American War range. These appeared in their catalogues at around the time they were still making 15mm figures in strips. However, they had been dropped by the time of the next catalogue when they started to expand their 2nd gen 15mm lines. |

@20th Maine "I had a similar experience with ME figures bought/exchanged for a largish number someone had – but was sent as a couple of parcels and 1 split in the sorting office and a lot of the figures were lost. There must be a curse on the ME range !" Or maybe it's just really popular with postmen? |

@SJD: Many thanks. My memory must be better than I think it is; or at least, I think it is. |
