I think Norman D Landings is hard to beat.

I always liked Canard Sage.

I like Captain Apathy too, but a Hairy Haggis is hard to beat, you need a knoby stick to keep him down.

I like mine because it is exactly the maximum 30 characters allowed; while also being a brief TMP history of myself; it also expresses my reigning attitude of late….

My name! Look at it! It is a combination of Gaelic and mispelled German! It is hobby related and uses my real name. How cool is that?!

I'm afraid we'll have to cancel any nominations by posters for their own TMP name as self-praise is no praise at all.

Glad I've given somebody a chuckle!

We were sitting around on night shift, and time-passing nonsense activities turned to: 'If you were on the run, what would your alias be?'

Possibilities included – Sidney Harberbridge, Nile Delta, Nelson Column and, er… Rusty Panhandle. I plumped for Norman D. Landings.

Later that same morning, I go to my usual wargaming site – the original Wargames Directory – and find it's no longer open access & requires a log-in. Fortunately, I happen to have a suitable one on the tip of me tongue. Tried to keep the same name since then.

Strangest moment? Went to a weekend game in Yorkshire to find that fellow TMPer Peeler had booked me into the village pub as Norman D. Landings. I'm standing there with me suitcase as the landlord inredulously reads out the name and the crowded bar falls silent… it was a 'Slaughtered Lamb' moment.

I rate Norman D Landings Highly, but have always been fond of Connard Sage too.

nope has to be in the name. otherwise we start up that "greying the hobby" and the Editor climbs in and declares it a poltical argument. John will say something and before you know it. greyhaired wargammers are laughed at on the internet.

Lenin and mcarthy makes me chuckle--very clever on a several different levels…Also Deep Fried just for its insanity…but I also like mine!! Hey leave me alone the gold is NEXT TO ME!!

I dunno, with the limited knowledge that the average citizen has of of historical persons and events, you might actually get away with naming your kid Rasputin. Sounds kinda cool, really. But you'd want to be a little more careful with some other names. link
