Hi all! I just posted a report from Hurricon in Orlando, which was just held this past weekend. First report up is the Big Battle DBA game hosted by Don Harting, of a slugfest between Alexander the Great and Darius III. The Battle of Gaugamela can be seen on my blog at: mylittlesoldier.com Enjoy, Musashi |

Nice pics and report. Very colorful in 25mm. In the Alexander movie this battle was fought in a fairly arid region, with no trees or road. Was that not historically correct? |

Bob, I think most of what was on the table was just for looks. None of the terrain played a part in in battle just as it should have been ;-) Yes, arid and undeveloped. There was a small bua on the table at first too, but was again, just for looks. Looking back at it, maybe it should have been more representational, but from a convention standpoint and desiring new people to check out the game, a dirt filled billiard table might not have gotten the job done lol. |
