If you are a 15mm SF fan or a GZG fan then you have no doubt seen the beautiful updated lines of New Israeli, NAC and UNSC troops. It appears the UNSC Light troops are the next to be updated with new poses and support wepons sets. After that its up in the air as to which force will next get the "re-due" look. Which would you MOST like to see? Ravagers/ Pirates, Civilians, Police, Militia, ESU, FSE, FCT, Isalamic Federation, Japanese, NSL, NAC, UNSC, OUDF, Outter Rim Coalition, Scandanavians, Other. My top 3: ESU heavy infantry, NSL, NAC. |

OUDF. Islamic Federation. Kravak. |

The heck with humies, although if we must, how about some more Free Cal-Tex boys? Better, how about the xenos? Phalons – they don't even have power armor (crab-suits!) yet, and only one pack of infantry Kra'Vak – need more regular trooper poses Sa'Vasku – there's some 6mm not-SST Bugs, but I'd rather see a crazy range of bioconstructs for them in 15mm than more SST knockoffs Ixx – much too cool, they deserve more troop poses, and I'd love to see their version of power armor Alien Mercs – mega-armor guys and heavy weapons and maybe some weedy juveniles? |
Top Gun Ace | 02 Sep 2010 10:07 a.m. PST |
UNSC hardsuits. However, most of all, I'd still like to see some jump-troopers with anti-grav/rocket/jet packs or belts. Some in flying mode, and some on the ground. Sadly, the Traveller-style troops are still MIA. |
Jay Arnold | 02 Sep 2010 10:17 a.m. PST |
Given the NI hardsuit troops' similarities to a certain videogames' hero, I'd like to see some not-grunts, not jackals, not-elites, not-brutes etc. I would not like to see not-flood. If redoing existing lines, then ESU. |
Uesugi Kenshin | 02 Sep 2010 10:50 a.m. PST |
No one said they have to be hummies! (Though that's all I plan to play). |
unitrecon | 02 Sep 2010 10:57 a.m. PST |
Kra'Vak, the old poses look very wooden, not the best range. Compare with the newer boys on the block and they look like statues. Japanese, please! |
wminsing | 02 Sep 2010 11:04 a.m. PST |
Wait, so are UNSC hardsuits already on the list for a re-do? -Will |
Stealth1000 | 02 Sep 2010 11:05 a.m. PST |
Civilians, Police, Militia and NSL. |

"Wait, so are UNSC hardsuits already on the list for a re-do"? Theoretically, but they haven't been produced yet, and am not sure where they stand in the queue. After the flight-capable droptroop figs, flying as if on patrol and in combat (firing on the bounce, as it were), they are my first choice as far as wants go, and would make great opponents for the battle-armored NI's. Some flight-capable UNSC Marine troops would be a great combo, along with ground troops too, and would kill two birds with one stone. They've got a great motto too, "Why walk when you can fly, ours is but to do or die"! |

Free Cal-Tex UNSC hardsuits could use a revamp, new stuff is great ESU |
M1Fanboy | 02 Sep 2010 12:20 p.m. PST |
Yeah, I'd like the FCT types redone. Preferably with a less "motorcycle" style helmet. I'd like some Traveller type stuff too. Also, can we see some ESU types, and more poses for the Militia as well, perhaps some of the mounted guys from the 25mm range, as well as some "grizzled vets". |
Battle Works Studios | 02 Sep 2010 12:42 p.m. PST |
I like the existing FCT guys fine, just want more poses and weapons for them. But xenos first, preferably. |

28mm Prawns, but Jon's already told me that won't be happening. A shame really, since they would be superb if the same sculptor is used. Of course, if you all bombard him to produce "Jumbo-Prawns", I imagine he'll cave in to customer pressure, in pursuit of the mighty Pound. |
Wellspring | 02 Sep 2010 8:09 p.m. PST |
Power Armor. Civilians would be the other one. |
streeters | 02 Sep 2010 11:56 p.m. PST |
I would have loved to get a UNSC force but the lack of variety in figs stopped me, and I opted for NI instead. Once they get their act together and finish it I'll be first in line to get a platoon-strength force. |

"I would have loved to get a UNSC force but the lack of variety in figs stopped me" Shouldnt be a long wait! |

I hate waiting. Now now now. |

Kra'Vak & Phalons, please – several packs of each, revamped poses, a nice variety of heavy weapons and NCO types. I'd also really like to see some new colonial militia types based on the current sculpts. I could see myself using them for militia, ship's security, corporate mercenaries, riot teams

How about some 15 mm Indonesian Commonwealth? Gracias, Glenn |

OUDF, but really anything NAC. |

Man, this one cam out of the wood work! I think this poll finished last week. But no problem, I always like re-hashing last weeks news, especially when I started it! ;-) Im still hoping for a NSL redux. |
Gunner Dunbar | 21 Mar 2011 3:21 a.m. PST |
FSE, NSL, ESU troops in the WWII Russian infantry looking uniform, not the stupid cape wearing ones, or OU. |
sackofmonkeys | 21 Mar 2011 3:38 a.m. PST |
For those of you who didn't see Uesugi Kenshin's poll here: TMP link The four most popular results were: Civilians, Police, Militia: 66 responses / 8% of the vote Kra'Vak: 51 / 6% NSL: 47 / 6% ESU: 43 / 5% I hope Jon at GZG reads this! I want more Kra'Vak! :-) |
Uesugi Kenshin | 21 Mar 2011 3:59 a.m. PST |
Aside from the "no opinion monkies" it was actually a pretty interesting poll, I found. I was very surprised by the diversity of the vote, ie. no lopsidedness. I wouldnt mind seeing all of the top 4 you listed updated, I'd buy them all if they were! Also, "Alien Mercs" actually got the same % as ESU (5%), so that should be #5 on the list. I'd personally like to see them expanded with a few more poses and some command and heavy weapons as well. I agree though, hope when Jon gets his web store up and running in April someone drops him the poll results ;-) |
Stuuuh | 21 Mar 2011 6:40 a.m. PST |
"no opinion monkies" = 22% of the vote, 2.75x greater than the next best score
So the message to GZG is that there is no significant preference for a single troop type. Or am I misreading the results? |
sackofmonkeys | 21 Mar 2011 8:45 a.m. PST |
I think possibly you are Stuuuh, a large proportion of that 22% are TMPers with no interest in 15mm Sci Fi but with a perverse compulsion to respond to TMP surveys covering areas for which they have no interest. |
Uesugi Kenshin | 21 Mar 2011 5:46 p.m. PST |
Thank you for saving me the answer Sacks ;-) I really hope Jon does add 1 or 2 more packs to the Alien Mercs so that they go from becoming just a Merc froce to an actual collectible Army.

Jage111 | 22 Mar 2011 6:39 a.m. PST |
Traveller types then NSL and ESU. Kra'Vak are also up there. If the ESU are redone, I agree with Gunner Dunbar, they should have WWII winter uniform styling like the 25mm versions. |

"a large proportion of that 22% are TMPers with no interest in 15mm Sci Fi but with a perverse compulsion to respond to TMP surveys covering areas for which they have no interest" A case of trying to win the daily poll award from Bill or just so lonely and barren that they will respond to anything just to be part of something
either way in my book, l a m e. I personally feel that "no opinion" has no place in an opinion poll. |

I would also like to see the other alien lines updated. The Alien Mercs, perhaps a vehicle or two? Given a certain videogames' hero similarities to the NI hardsuit troops, I'd like to see some not-grunts, not jackals, not-elites, not-brutes etc. I would not like to see not-flood. Fixed that for ya. The Tuffleyverse predates the Haloverse. :-) Not something you see every day! |
