Doing a solo WAB Vikings v Anglicans
Vikings charge -Anglicans stop to form a shield wall; a combined Huscarl/Geburs holds strong – the unit to their right – all Huscarls gets overwhelmed (beserkers helped) – everyone passes panic test – except the unit of mounted theigns – who score a DR11 on the panic test – then a DR15 on the route and promptly flee of the table at the first opportunity.
The fury of the Norsmen I guess.

The forgot the left the stove on at home. Somebody had to go make sure the Chicken didn't burn.

Anglicans? Your Vikings were fighting the Church of England several centuries before its formation?

My dice hate me too. Friday morning I rolled 42 consecutive 1s and 2s. Thats my usual dice luck, and why I don't win games. Ever.

They're easier to beat that way, the congregations are much smaller.

Visions of an alliance of time-travelling pagan polytheists stomping out monotheism wherever it rears its ugly head are kind of funny, though.

Korvessa16 Aug 2010 10:42 a.m. PST

I suppose I meant Anglians.

tobermoray16 Aug 2010 11:06 a.m. PST

ah, right. Thanks for the clarification.

Don't let Korpilla fool you: he did mean CofE.

Go on, poke an Anglican with a pointy stick & see the reaction.

Battle Works Studios16 Aug 2010 2:15 p.m. PST

Yeah, those Anglicans form a shield wall if you even look at them funny. :)

Nothing to compare with battle nuns, though ::shudder:: (Sisters of Saint Theckla's Corset: all in full plate under their habits, and wielding two-handed flambergés….)

You just need to fond a game where 1s & 2s are successes…

At the beginning of the next turn – several units had to take a "sympathy" panic test. Only one failed – The ABS. It fled off the board too.

Yeah, uh, that's right, keep talking, mmm…

Gunfreak17 Aug 2010 1:00 p.m. PST

Yeah, she dumped you for me, I call her lefty and we are gonna get married

Farstar17 Aug 2010 3:51 p.m. PST

oookay…

As for dice. I watched a model make seven 5+ saves (1d6) in a row on Sunday.

I've never seen that tense of fondle used with such clarity
in a sentence before.

Cake or Death

err Cake please.

Greyalexis09 Sep 2010 9:51 a.m. PST

here use my invisable dice. with them I have won many solo games. the neat thing is that they rever stop rolling until you want to.

Omemin30 Nov 2010 12:04 p.m. PST

My luck with dice is far more selective. I get about average results until that moment comes (as it does in every game) where THIS roll is crucial.

That's where the failsafe safely fails, every time.

Sometimes they hate me, other times they are the cats meow. Had a game a while ago 2nd line troops (Nap's) were picking off artillerists at medium range with quite regularity. And I have a Russian Gren regt who can't get a roll to save thier lives. Which just made me think maybe its not us but the unit they get rolled for.
