Now this should be fun.
15mm JR 2 game at my friends house
Troops per Gettysburg OOB
Map: Peach Orchard and area
Non Historical forces( My bud just painted up the entire Iron Brigade so we had to use them)
Forces: Union all of 1 and 12 Corps

I'm thinking of doing Peach Orchard plus the map to north, dealing with Barksdale's charge (forgot the scenario name). The combined maps are 5' x 9', which space I have, and I have the troops.

What I'm not sure i have is enough fence!

charles popp13 Aug 2010 12:28 p.m. PST

I ran out of fence with 14 feet of it.Looking at the scenario books and maps ,there are fences Everywhere!

Yes. I may just lay down a line of sticks to represent them.

This will take some time -- figure 10-12 hours. The ACW group in my area has done this twice in the past year. Well they did the entire flank from part of Cemetery Ridge to Big Round Top. 3 Confederate Corps and the 'historical' Yankees.

IMO the games were all busts because the CSA players spent too much time trying to minimize casualties instead of laying it on heavy the think from turn 1 (the only way the CSA can win by the way).

Looks to me like it may take 10-12 hours just to set it up!

we are devoting a day and 1/2. 3 players to a side all are Jr 2 fluent. We also set the forces no more that 2 turns movment away and set victory conditions to make the confeds attack
