I have a couple GHQ planes and choppers I want to paint up. What color looks best for canopies? I was leaning toward black, but that seems boring. White seems like too much contrast. What about blending a couple blues…like a dark, moving to a light? Obviously, any help would be GREATLY appreciated! |

I do mine in a light grey – didn't like the black, white or blue look. A friend does his in black then streaks it with light grey/white. |

I do mine in a very light bluish grey. Matte coat the entire model and then paint gloss clearcoat over the canopy. |

I prefer dark gray for most, but it depends upon the color of the rest of the aircraft as well, e.g. a dark gray canopy on a dark gray jet isn't too good. |

I do mine with gray blue, then progressively mix in white over several steps to highlights. |
