Hope it's simply a minor website issue again.

Thanks,

I got an e-mail from him yesterday…

GeoffQRF28 Jul 2010 6:00 a.m. PST

Does that mean you're back Mark?

Mark,

All is well, I hope?

Just concerned, that's all. He's a great guy.

I know he was having trouble with his web site. I was trying to buy a few figures off him. Then when I went to pay my payment went to someone else instead of him Now I have lost my money and got no figures to show for it. Paypal will not do anything about it, because they said I had authorixed the payment. So I am out. I will not be doing any more orders from him.

Ouch.

GeoffQRF30 Jul 2010 4:30 a.m. PST

Do you know where the payment went? It should be traceable if it was through Paypal (email address)

wolfen30 Jul 2010 10:00 a.m. PST

It went to a yahoo email address. It is a small order just to see how good the figures were before I placed the main order. It was for only $15.00. So it is not worth going after them for it.

GeoffQRF30 Jul 2010 12:28 p.m. PST

Assuming the Yahoo mail address is not Piotr's, have you tried emailing it to ask if they have received a payment by mistake?

Has the payment actually gone out? We had a payment sent to an email address not attached to our Paypal account. I had to go and register that email address to claim the payment.

If it is [one of] Piotr's email adresses, have you tried contacting him? Has he actually sent the figures and they just haven't arrived?

So many unanswered questions…

" I will not be doing any more orders from him."

I must be missing a detail or two since, with the info you have provided thus far, I see nothing that implies Piotr did something wrong.

It wasn't Piotr's email. The reason I said I wouldn't order any thing else is cause it was his shopping cart that messed up. I have talked to him about this but he has left it up to me.

Hi guys, I just wanted to help wolfen out by providing some more details of the transaction in question. Wolfen does not have a Paypal account, so I actually placed the order for him and paid via Paypal. It was a small order ($10 + approx. $5.00 USD for shipping), just to test out some the nice looking figures. When I placed the order, evidently a hacker had imposed his email address as the Payee. Therefore, my payment did not make it to Piotr. A couple days later Piotr notified me that my payment had not made it to him, his site had been hacked, and my payment went to some hacker's email. He had spoken with Paypal and they told him to have me file a claim with Paypal. Concerned about my Paypal account, I called them to find out what was going on. After explaining what had happened, they told me that it did not appear that it was something a claim from me would fix, but since Piotr had been talking with Paypal about this, I should go ahead and file a claim. I did so and my claim was denied. I made Piotr aware of the situation and he told me that he was working with law enforcement officials and he would let me know in a couple of days. That was around two weeks ago and I have heard nothing. Piotr was very nice about the whole situation, but in my opinion, if my website had ripped someone off, I would take care of the situation one way or another. The reason wolfen does not want to order anymore figures from Piotr is because he is worried about the security of the site and more importantly, he was not satisfied with the handling of the situation. To be honest, I am more than willing to wait however long it takes to get the situation resolved, but a few updates would have been nice. I hope I have clarified the situation, and I hope I have conveyed your feelings appropriately , wolfen. If not please correct me. Thanks.

Also, emails to the hackers email were not answered.
