I think I picked up this mini at a Salute show about 10 years ago. It just resurfaced, in my lead locker, recently. I am sure that many of you have the same figure, both painted and unpainted.

At least that is one I don't have to worry about. One down, scary amount to go.

Cheers

Neil

It does raise the question "How many Napoleons are enough?".

I am sure I have enough to make a small battalion.

A battalion of Napoleons?

Lets see, 1 is woth 40 000 soldiers.

So 500 is worth 20 000 000 soldiers.

Damn that army would be hard to beat, an army the size of the poplulation of The nederlands

I gave one Napoleon away to a friend when I was in the UK. Now I only have six in 28mm. Quite modest by wargaming standards.

I thought it would be interesting to post this lad because 4,000 odd people got the model at whichever Salute show it was. I wonder how many ever got painted up.

IIRC this was a figure sculpted by one of the Perry twins to raise money for charity and was sold by Foundry in limited numbers.

Thanks. I may have bought this one when I made a Foundry order in 1999.

In addition to this 25mm, there's at least one 15mm version of this particular pose; I can't remember the company, but it came together with a standing figure of Gen. Bonaparte which, like several other figures in the range, seemed rather short in the torso.

Very nice- I have the same fig, unpainted, so this is a good nudge to start painting!

As I recall, Six Napoleons proved sufficient.

Nice job Neil. I plan to start painting my copy of this model this weekend. I'll probably blog the results when they're done. Regards, Seb
