It can be difficult to make out sometimes but the top is navy blue while the rest of the uniform is black.

Frontovik--All very dark Navy Blue--The jackets would get more sun so would fade a tiny bit!!

Having seen the originals (and just sold a wartime hat and bushlat, with a mix of tsarist and communist buttons, out of my collection) I can assure you the only item that is navy blue is the top all the others are black and don't really fade. :o)

I have a post-war hat and striped sweater, probably from the 70s or 80s, that has "Baltic Fleet" on the hat's band. How much have they changed since WWII? It doesn't look like they've changed at all.

The crown on the post war hat is much bigger and is made from synthetic (or a mix). Wartime ones are made from wool or cotton.

Hate to necro this thread.

Any ideas what uniforms I can see in here? I can provide a short video clip of the soldiers (not massively helpful, but somewhat useful). It seems to be that the guy in white, the driver, has a scruffy work uniform on with a large pocket on his left chest. Not certain about the hat, any ideas? On the video, you can really clearly see the gold lettering on the black and blue uniformed guy (the commander getting on top of the hull near the turret), but not with the white soldier's cap. Maybe they're both wearing the same type of hat, and it's just the light? Thoughts?

Like I say, I seem to think that the guy in white is wearing scruffy working dress, and the guy in dark colours is wearing a dark blue 'jumper' and black trousers. Anybody think otherwise?
