I have Dave Manley's "Form Line of Battle" and wanted to know how this one compares. Is it an update of FLOB or different? Is the Mechanics the same? is it simpler, more complex? |

I have Sea War, haven't played (French/Spanish fleet painted, British is next up). From what I've read, it looks great. Easy to understand and looks like a quickplay set with period feel. I think it will play smoother than Trafalgar. Anything from Manley is good stuff! |

"Anything from Manley is good stuff!" I dont agree or disagree but I see lots of others who dont think David's stuff is good. I personally enjoy the couple of his items which I own. To tell the truth, I have been put off buying some of his stuff because of negative comments from others. Unfortunate but I dont have the budget to buy every rules set that might be of interest to me. Anyone give me an objective view of Seawar 1805? I keep thinking I might buy but??????? Thanks, Al |

Bob: Thanks for the note. How can I contact Dave? I don't have an email address. Dan. C. |

to be strictly accurate, 1805 isn't really one of mine. Matthew Hartley and Steve blease wrote "Strange Tydes" and Steve asked me to put in soem additional material to form the historical version that became 1805. @Dan – drop me a PM and I'll send you an email address at which you can contact me.

Is Seawar 1805 the title of the rules? From the discussion, I was interested in finding them. Can't find that title. Who puts out these rules? |
